Dr. Aonghus Lawlor is Assistant Professor at the School of Computer Science, University College Dublin, and a Funded Investigator at the Insight Centre for Data Analytics and the VistaMilk SFI Research Centre. After completing his Ph.D in University College Dublin he worked at the National Centre for Geocomputation and then joined the recommender systems group at the Insight Centre. His current work is focused on recommender systems, applying machine learning and deep learning to recommendation tasks and finding ways to interpret and explain recommendations.
