I am an Associate Professor at the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at University College Dublin (UCD) where I hold a Science Foundation Ireland President of Ireland Future Research Leaders Award, and an Adjunct Associate Professor at the Graduate School of Biomedical Engineering at The University of New South Wales (UNSW), Sydney, Australia. I completed my Bachelor of (Electronic) Engineering in 2002 and PhD in Electronic Engineering (pattern recognition and biosignal processing) in 2006, both at UCD. I spent 10 years at UNSW (2008-2018), where I held an Australian Research Council Future Fellowship from 2014-2017, before returning to UCD in 2018 to lead a large program on the topic of human and artificial tactile sensing.
