The Insight Research Ireland  Centre for Data Analytics is currently collaborating with the DCU Access Office to deliver a series of engaging and educational workshops for secondary school students taking place from November 2024 to March 2025, specifically targeting “HEAR Eligible” 5th-year students from DEIS Schools. This collaboration aims to bridge the gap between secondary education and advanced STEM fields, providing students with insights and skills that are crucial in today’s data-driven world. By offering these workshops, we hope to inspire students to pursue STEM careers and foster a pipeline of future talent.

The first workshop occured on October 30th 2024 and was titled “Careers in STEAM”. This workshop provided an overview of various career paths within STEAM fields, highlighting real-world applications and career prospects.

We had a variety of speakers at this workshop, including, an industry partner, researchers/academics, PhD/PostDocs and an Operations Team Member.
