Dr. Úna Britton is a Postdoctoral Researcher with the Moving Well-Being Well project. Úna’s research interests are in the area of child & adolescent physical activity and health-related behaviours. Úna obtained a BSc. in Sport & Exercise Sciences from University of Limerick, and then completed a MSc in Physical Education while on an athletics scholarship at Eastern Kentucky University. Úna completed her PhD in DCU’s School of Health & Human Performance in 2019, examining a popular conceptual model of physical activity engagement in youth during the transition from primary to second-level school. Since completing her PhD, Úna has worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher on various physical activity promotion projects within DCU’s School of Health & Human Performance and Institute of Education, as well as lecturing on the Physical Education, Athletic Therapy & Training, and Sport Science degree courses.
