Dr Nitesh Bharot is a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Social Semantics Unit led by Prof. John Breslin at Insight, University of Galway.
Nitesh received his PhD degree from Rabindranath Tagore University (RNTU), India (an NIRF ranked University) in Cloud Security. During his PhD, he worked on detecting and mitigating DDoS attacks in cloud environments. He had completed his M.Tech from the National Institute of Technical Teachers’ Training & Research, India (an Institute of National Importance) in computer technology application.
Nitesh has 13 years of work experience working in teaching & research. He taught in prestigious engineering colleges such as SIRTE & SRCEM and has taught brilliant young minds over the years. He worked as Associate Professor & Director Academics at SRCEM, responsible for teaching, R&D, and faculty recruitment planning and monitoring. The modules he has taught include: Cyber Security, Machine Learning, Analysis and Design of Algorithm, Cloud Computing, and Network Security. He has won many awards; Performer of the Year – awarded by ShriRam group of Colleges in 2020, achiever of the month – awarded by the Sagar Group of Institutions India in 2014, and achiever for the Q3 FY (2010-2011) – awarded by Zensoft Technologies Pvt Ltd India.
He has received grants for organizing conferences and workshops from funding agencies such as MHRD and MPCST, India. Nitesh has organized a two-week ISTE workshop on Signal and Systems under National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT) and a two-day Workshop on Cell Phone Radiation Hazards and Solutions. In addition, he served as Technical Program Committee Member at several IEEE conferences.
