Khadija Iddrisu is a PhD student at Dublin City University, funded by the Insight SFI Research Centre for Data Analytics, with collaborations with Xperi. She obtained her master’s degree in Mathematical Sciences from the African Institute for Mathematical
Sciences (AIMS) Ghana and later joined the Google and Facebook-sponsored African Masters of Machine Intelligence (AMMI) program at AIMS Senegal. Currently, she is in the early stages of her PhD in Computer Applications with a research focus on Multimodal Image Analysis. Khadija is also a co-organizer at the Women in Machine Learning and Data Science Accra Chapter. Additionally, she has participated in several panel discussions concerning AI, such as the ‘African Women in AI Summit’ and the ‘Future of AI in Ghana’ panel discussion, organized by the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change and AIMS Next Einstein Initiative, respectively. She has also been featured in various articles and news magazines, including ‘Women in Computer Vision’ news by RSIP Vision for August 2023. Khadija has previously received recognition for her work in Ghana as the Best Female Data Analyst/Engineer at the Ghana Ladies in Tech Awards 2022.”
