Dr. Rafiqul Haque has a 15-year career marked by diverse roles in research, development, entrepreneurship, leadership, teaching, and sales. He holds a PhD in computer science and information systems from the University of Limerick and is currently a research fellow at the University of Galway’s Insight center, focusing on interoperability, foundation models, and data governance within data spaces. Before joining Insight, he was involved in the FintechNext initiative, which emphasizes cutting-edge technologies like Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence.
In addition to his research work, Dr. Haque spent nearly seven years in the information technology sector, handling responsibilities in product management, project leadership, and coordination. His clients spanned various industries, including banks, telecom corporations, and construction and engineering firms.
Dr. Haque’s career has taken him across Europe, with affiliations in France, Ireland, and Germany. He is passionate about working with data and harnessing AI for data analysis. His current interests revolve around foundation models, data spaces, and Industry 4.0 for intelligent digital transformation.
