On August 23rd, Insight SFI Research Centre for Data Analytics at the University of Galway will host “Insight Data Connections: Seizing the Data Opportunity through Collaboration”. The event will offer an opportunity to showcase innovation, industry working groups, pitch and explore funding opportunities through Irish Government and Horizon Europe funding programmes and encourage collaboration among our networks.

Working Groups: Industrial Challenges for Data and AI
On the day, we are hosting working groups to initiate discussions on the strategic industrial research and innovation challenges for Data and AI in the near- and long term. These co-creation working groups will produce immediate opportunities for collaboration and feed into the Insight research agenda for the next decade. The topic areas we plan to focus on in this event include Generative AI, Trustworthy Decisions and Bias, Data Sharing, and Governance, and the Digital Transformation of Healthcare.
The afternoon session will focus on Horizon Europe Funding Opportunities with a presentation from Stephen O’Reilly, National Contact Point for Horizon Europe Cluster 4 – Digital, Industry and Space, with a particular focus on “digital”. There will be match making and pitching opportunities for the calls listed below.
