Dr Andrew Hines is an assistant professor and the Director of Research, Innovation and Impact in the School of Computer Science at University College Dublin and an Insight Funded Investigator. He is the co-author of the current cover story of the Irish Law Society Gazette in which he and Labhaoise Ní Fhaoláin discuss Chat GPT and the need for the legal profession to develop a practical understanding of this technology in order to safeguard against inappropriate or damaging use.
