Drs Zhang, Flynn and McCaul talk careers at DCU International Women’s Day event

The panel, comprised of women at different points in their career from various echelons of research, lent their expertise and shared insights into the challenges and triumphs experienced by women in the field. Dr. Margaret McCaul, an Insight Funded Investigator, illuminated the path with her wealth of experience from her career in DCU. Dr. Lili Zhang, an esteemed Insight Postdoctoral Researcher, and newly appointed assistant professor in DCU brought invaluable perspectives to the table, while Dr. Lisa Flynn, a promising Insight Postgraduate PhD Student, infused the dialogue with fresh insights and enthusiasm. Business Development Officer Brian Doyle expertly moderated the discussion, fostering a dynamic exchange of ideas and experiences. Together, they delved into the multifaceted landscape of research, addressing the hurdles faced by women and the strategies employed to overcome them.
