The Insight SFI Research Centre for Data Analytics at Dublin City University (DCU) recently hosted the FactoryXChange 3rd General Assembly and Workshop. FactoryXChange, a European Digital Innovation Hub, brought together over 20 guests from five esteemed project partners: Irish Manufacturing Research, Technological University of the Shannon, KPMG Future Analytics, Data Value Hub and the Irish Centre for High-End Computing.
Over the course of two productive days, the consortium engaged in dynamic discussions and strategic project planning. The workshop highlighted the collaborative efforts and innovative spirit driving the FactoryXChange initiative forward.
Insight DCU researchers showcased cutting-edge technologies, including advancements in generative AI, digital twin simulations, water monitoring sensors, wearable sensors and virtual reality (VR). These presentations underscored the pivotal role of data analytics and digital innovation in transforming manufacturing processes and enhancing efficiency.
