What do you most enjoy about your research with Insight?: The most rewarding aspect of working as a researcher with Insight is the opportunity to continuously learn throughout these past four years. Being involved in research requires staying abreast of the latest advancements in statistical modeling, providing space for ongoing learning, and proposing valuable solutions that contribute to the scientific community.
What is the most challenging aspect of doing a PhD?: The most challenging aspect of pursuing a Ph.D. is navigating the inevitable challenges that arise during the research process. Proposing novel solutions doesn’t always yield easy answers, and research may encounter obstacles that take time to overcome before a clear path forward emerges. This can sometimes lead to feelings of inadequacy, frustration, or impostor syndrome. However, understanding that research is a gradual process that requires time helps in managing these challenges more effectively.
When you’re not working on your PhD, what pastimes do you enjoy?: In my free time, I study music, which helps me disconnect and clear my mind. This refreshes me and enhances my creativity to approach new problems in my Ph.D.
