Andrea is a fourth year PhD student at UCC working on topics such as Constraint Programming, Knowledge Compilation and Optimization. She obtained an Erasmus Double Masters Degree in Dependable Software Systems in 2017 from Maynooth University and University of St Andrews, Scotland. She has some experience working in industry as a software developer and as a researcher also. She is enthusiastic about logic, symbolic AI and combinatorial problems and topics around sustainability and explainability as well. She’s a great believer that inspiration and motivation for work thrives if balanced out, in her case with outdoor adventures, crafts and social life.
