I finished my PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering last 31 July 2022 at the University of the Philippines. Afterwards, I became an Assistant Professor in the same university for two years. Last year, I got connected with Dr. Hines via online after submitting an expression of interest for the MSCA Postdoctoral fellowship 2023 call. We started writing on a research topic about enhancing the listening experience of cochlear implant users immersed in live music scenarios. Fortunately, I got accepted for funding and now I am starting my research effective 30 September 2024 in the University College Dublin. I will be working closely with the QxLab research laboratory headed by Dr. Hines, and I am excited to conduct excellent research within the university.
I recently got married on December 2022 and I am glad to bring my wife alongside me to Dublin thanks to the hosting agreement scheme for scientific researchers. We are excited to explore Ireland together and to build a family here in the long run. I love to play the electric guitar and I enjoy playing in a band. I am also interested in running and working out in the gym.
