I completed my PhD in 2024 at ML Labs in University College Dublin (UCD), under the supervision of Prof. Mark Keane. My doctoral research focused on Explainable AI, particularly the intersection of domain expertise and image data. Currently, I am a postdoctoral research fellow at the School of Information and Communication Studies at UCD, working under Dr. Susan Leavy on the DiversiFAIR project. DiversiFAIR is a European initiative aimed at addressing intersectional fairness in AI across the European Union. My work involves exploring the interactive mapping of AI regulatory documents for researchers and educators and developing a comprehensive typology of AI biases and related harms.
I am passionate about hiking and am aiming to hike the highest peaks of every county in Ireland (28 total – some are shared) within a year. Next year I would really like to hike the Dolomites. Additionally, I am an avid reader and enjoy a wide range of literature – from easy thrillers to classical literature.
