Dr Chrys Ngwa is the External Relations & Business Development Manager for Insight in UCC, Tyndall and UL. He also acts as Public Engagement Manager for the sites and he is also a Project Manager.
Chrys has an extensive wealth of public & private sector work experience. Before joining Insight, Chrys was the Executive Director (2010 – 2013) for the International Centre for Graduate Education in Micro & Nano-Engineering, a Tyndall/UCC led consortium of 9 Higher Education Institutions created to enhance the quality of Doctoral training in Ireland. Prior to this, he worked in the private sector (1997-2010) in several roles including Engineering Director, R&D manager, and Business Unit Manager with S3Group and was at times seconded abroad to work with several businesses within NXP Semiconductors. He was responsible for the delivery of more than 50 global multi-site ICT projects with an impressive record of on-time, first-time-right and on-budget delivery. Chrys has a PhD in Electronics from Liverpool University (1996) where he also gained an BEng (Hons) in Electronics Engineering (1992).
