Dr Eoin Brophy has a strong background in deep learning, signal processing, and wearable sensor technology. He obtained his PhD from Dublin City University in 2022 with his thesis, “Deep learning-based signal processing approaches for improved tracking of human health and behaviour with wearable sensors.” This work leveraged their expertise in generative modelling technologies to improve user and patient outcomes.
Currently, Eoin is a Postdoctoral Researcher working with the Insight SFI Research Centre for Data Analytics in DCU, leading an Enterprise Ireland Commercialisation Fund. His work is primarily focused on Natural Language Processing, specifically utilising Large Language Models to address complex challenges in commercial enterprises.
Eoin is always open to collaboration opportunities, with his main interests in generative modelling for both time series and text and developing novel IoT solutions with sensors and their data. His commitment is to the commercialisation of research projects, which he hopes will make an impact on both academia and industry.
