Grace obtained her BSc in computer science and MSc in information Technology at Ateneo de Davao University, Davao, Philippines. She worked as a lecturer in computer science at the same school where she taught courses in algorithms, programming languages and machine learning. She is currently in her first year of her PhD in computer science at University College Cork. Her master’s thesis was on the use of constraint logic programming to automatically produce university timetables. Her research experience also includes the use of constraint logic programming to produce student grouping for course assignments and projects as well as the exploration of unsupervised learning on student grades to gain insights on their overall performance. Currently, she’s interested in the use of both constraint programming and machine learning to solve real-world optimisation problems.
