Jefkine has an extensive background spanning public and private sector projects. Before joining the SFI Future Foods Challenge at the University of Galway, Jefkine worked with the World Bank and Transparency International, leading the development of advanced NLP-based citizen feedback platforms that enhanced public accountability and governance in Kenya. He also contributed as a Lead Consultant and Software Engineer on diverse projects, including fintech solutions and enterprise resource planning systems for organizations such as Mobi Changa and UoN SACCO. Over his career, he has delivered numerous innovative ICT solutions focusing on IoT, AI, and generative AI applications. Jefkine holds a PhD in Informatics from the University of Galway, a BSc in Actuarial Science from Jomo Kenyatta University, and multiple professional certifications, including CEH, showcasing a robust blend of academic and technical expertise.
