I hold a PhD in Physiology from UCC, where my research was conducted in collaboration with the Infant Centre and Cork University Maternity Hospital. My work focused on leveraging machine learning techniques to detect brain injuries in newborn infants within their first three days of life, aiming to enhance early diagnosis and intervention.
Currently, I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Insight Centre for Data Analytics. Here, I am working on an exciting project in collaboration with Sony, where I develop deep reinforcement learning models to optimize inventory control processes. My work integrates cutting-edge AI methodologies with real-world applications, bridging the gap between research and industry innovation.
My research interests include machine learning, deep reinforcement learning, and their applications in healthcare and industrial optimization.
