Tanvir Singh Badwal works as EU Project Manager at the Insight Centre for Data Analytics located in University College Cork (UCC), Ireland. He manages UCC’s activities in the Horizon Europe project AI4Europe. Since 2017, he has been actively involved in research and innovation projects addressing different fields of science and technology, economic development, entrepreneurship, policy development, international cooperation, and internationalisation. During his employment at consultancies in Portugal and Belgium, Tanvir managed and supported the implementation of several Horizon 2020 projects funded by the European Commission.
Prior to his full-time work experience, Tanvir pursued internships specific to marketing and market research, and collaborated in international research projects during his graduation. In 2016, he undertook a marketing internship at a Swedish organisation in Cambodia. In 2015, he worked in collaboration with the University of Copenhagen on a socio-economic research project. Tanvir also has a publication in food science from the research he conducted at the BNU-HKBU United International College (UIC) in Zhuhai, China.
Tanvir has a Bachelor´s degree in Agricultural and Food Engineering, and a Master´s degree in Food Process Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, India.
