Muhammad Hassam Baig is currently a Research Assistant at the Insight SFI Research Centre, University of Galway, focusing on the development of an intelligent pavement condition rating system for cycles and greenways to promote sustainable mobility. Previously, he worked as a Research Assistant at the National Center of Robotics and Automation, developing unmanned aerial vehicles for sustainable agricultural practices.
As the Chief Mechanical Engineer for Team Invictus, he gained experience in control systems, designing, building, and flying model electric-powered airplanes, leading his team to a commendable position in the AIAA’s DBFC, sponsored by NASA. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering.
His research interests include eco-friendly mobility and the application of robotics. Throughout his career, he has prioritized sustainability and innovative solutions to create a positive global impact.”
