Mr Pat Dempsey was appointed Business Development (BD) Manager for Insight in September 2020 having been Strategic Projects Director for Insight, based at NUI Galway since June 2018. Before joining the Insight team, Pat was employed by NUI Galway as Senior Manager, Academic Services, in Information Solutions and Services (ISS) with direct responsibility for providing leadership and innovation in enterprise business solutions and in the implementation of many strategically focused and planned, high-value enterprise services and solutions that encompassed services for staff, students, and research institutes alike.
Prior to joining the IT management team in NUI Galway, he worked in Nortel Networks and Digital Equipment Corporation, where he was responsible for providing senior level consultancy services to customers and distribution channels across EMEA specialising in VoIP, Convergence, Contact Centre and Multimedia Collaboration solutions, guiding customers and distribution partners in focusing their business on revenue generating solutions. He holds Bachelor (B.Eng.) and Masters (M.Eng.) degrees in Electronic Engineering and Computer Systems, and a Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA).
