Seven Insight members are ranked in the top 25 computer scientists in the country according to the 9th edition of Research.com’s list: Professor Barry Smyth, Professor Alan Smeaton, Professor Noel O’Connor, Professor Gabriel-Miro Muntean, Professor John Breslin,  Professor Eugene Freuder (pictured) and Professor Mark Keane.

Research.com’s best researchers ranking is a list of leading scientists from the area of Computer Science around the world, created using a thorough examination of 166,880 researchers determined from multiple bibliometric data sources. For the area of Computer Science, as many as 14402 researchers were examined

The rankings are  based on data consolidated from various data sources including OpenAlex and CrossRef. The bibliometric data for devising the citation-based metrics were acquired on 21-12-2022. Position in the ranking is based on a scholar’s D-index (Discipline H-index), which includes exclusively papers and citation values for an examined discipline.
