Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science, Simon Harris, TD, has today announced 62 grants valued at €42 million to support research across 13 Higher Education Institutions through Science Foundation Ireland’s Frontiers for the Future Programme.

Insight members Mingming Liu and Gabriel-MiroMuntean have received awards to a combined value of almost €950,000.

Mingming Liu of Insight at DCU has been awarded €335,529 for his project ‘Electric Shared-mobility Services to Empower Next-generation Transportation for Ireland’s Ambition to reach a Low-carbon future (ESSENTIAL)’

Gabriel-Miro Muntean, also of Insight at DCU,  will receive €611,481 for his project ‘Framework for Performance-aware Differentiated Innovative Services in 5G and Beyond Networks (FRADIS)’
