The Eternal Memory, a short film made by Insight’s Diarmuid Kennedy for the DCU Anam arts and culture programme has been selected for another international film festival, this time the Cannes Short Film Festival. The Eternal Memory is a short that explores the work of Dr Cathal Gurrin. Gurrin is a Lifelogger who has worn a chest camera since 2006 which takes a number of photographs every minute.
The film is not a researcher profile so much as a philosophical exploration of what a curated life means for an individual and indeed, the wider world. It was also selected for the Montreal Independent Film Festival.
