Eoin is a first year PhD student at the Insight Centre for Data Analytics, Dublin City University.
He received his Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering from Maynooth University in 2017 with a project titled: "The development of a wearable detection and recording system for epileptic seizures".
He also worked as a research assistant in Insight DCU prior to starting his PhD. The research topic focused on streaming analytics on wearable sensor data, more specifically; exercise classification using wrist worn optical sensors.
Eoin’s current research is carried out in the area of machine learning for generating and imputing time series signals. The main goal is to apply machine learning techniques that are able to generate synthetic physiological signals to be used in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).
